Im shocked by my own self. How I could think I understand something...
such as the shebet only to really understand that I didnt know the full
meaning. Culturally I was taught "spare the rod spoil the child" and now im
paying for that cultural teaching when chaos rises in my own house.
Literally I have been misguided by people who were misguided themselves my
whole life.

The Joesph and the king of dreams clip really spoke to me. It did so because
the explanation was clear. When the sheep strayed, Joseph did not use his
shebet to beat his sheep to make him come back. He went after the wolves to
protect his sheep and because he did not know how to use his authority
properly the wolves pursued him and his sheep. When Josephs father
stepped in with his shebet and he knew how to use it, he used the shebet
to protect his sheep.

My child is the sheep. :( Only I was taught the shebet was a tool to
used to make the sheep obey (spankings). My whole life I was told this was
right because this is in the Bible. Yet the true meaning was lost.

How can a whole teaching be lost in a culture? Protect the flock with the
Shebet, use authority wisely.
