What a day!

Painted Fiona’s room and it’s beautiful. I’m waiting until it’s totally done to post a picture, because this weekend we’re redoing the floor.

I also worked a bit in my room and moved some pictures around to clear off a wall. I’m definately feeling much better–though not 100% at all yet.

The children have been totally crazy today, though. And this stuff was only done in the afternoon and dh was home so it wasn’t that they were craving attention or anything. A storm moved in this evening out of nowhere and that can sometimes affect them, but they’re just running around crazy. Normally that just means loud and active and they have crazy ideas like playing chase in the house and simple redirection can help. This time it was weird–they were being destructive which is not like them at all. And now the babies are old enough to be getting into things and the mood seemed to affect them also. I’d finish hosing the older children’s feet off in the tub because they were playing in mud outside and walk into the living room to find the baby had pulled a whole bunch of wipies out of the box and tossed them around. I wanted to pad the rooms and such my thumb lol.

Instead I broke out the second book of the Narnia series, Prince Caspian, and made them lay down and listen :D We read three chapters before I had to get up and move to something else but that calmed everyone down for a long time after.

And we were blessed today! As I was decluttering my vanity I had to decide whether or not to keep the closet cover for coats and things I had. I decided to use it so got to work right away and while in there I saw my wool coat. It’s beautiful and I have no idea how much it would be new but I got it at a resale shop and only paid $50. It’s a fully lined, black, full length Calvin Kline wool coat! I haven’t worn it since the pg with the twins and decided to offer it for the cost of shipping (cuz it’s heavy lol) to someone at GCM who lives in a cold area and might actually benefit from it. I cleaned out the pockets to get my clutter out of them and found an envelope that said, “to the Luttons” and in it was $100. I immediately called Bill into the room and we just stared at it. Then we prayed and thanked God! I know someone intended it to bless us during a very difficult financial time while I was pg with the twins, and yet God brought it to us at a time I needed just a bit of financial encouragement. God has allowed dh to be home with me while I healed from dry sockets and today while I painted and the paycheck from last week was being counted on for paying the mortgage. We get it Thursday and I am not sure what it will be. It’s not like dh took the time off–his company is moving locations and they’re having a hard time getting systems back online so they are either telling people not to come in or sending them home. We know he’s paid for yesterday but not about last week or today–though any sick or holiday pay he has is supposed to be applied. Anyway, I haven’t panicked and when I’ve felt a tinge of concern I’ve stopped and prayed. But this was exactly the encouragement I needed from the Lord. AMEN

The infamous humongo tooth

For those of you who have wondered what I’m whining about (j/k lol) I thought I’d share the humongo tooth that resulted in the nearly violent tooth extraction.
